Oh Hayoung, better known as Hayoung, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and actress. She is best known as a member of Apink.

History

Oh Hayoung was born on July 19, 1996 in Seoul, South Korea. During her school days, she attended Seoul Yangcheon District's Shinwol Middle School where she graduated in 2012, and School of Performing Arts Seoul where she graduated in 2015. During her seventh grade, she auditioned for Cube Entertainment where she later on became a trainee. Hayoung decided not to pursue college after high school to concentrate on Apink's promotions.

Hayoung was introduced as the third member and the maknae (youngest member) of girl group Apink on February 21, 2011. In 2015, she wrote the lyrics for the song "What a Boy Wants" included in the group's second full-length studio album Pink Memory.

In 2016 she became a member of the Oh Jung Park Group, a friendship made up of 96' liners. The group includes Hayoung as well as Red Velvet's Joy and Gfriend's Yerin.

In August of 2019, Hayoung released her first solo album OH!.

In 2014, Hayoung appeared on some episodes of the variety show Weekly Idol as an MC along with Apink co-member Bomi. In August 2015, she was appointed as co-MC on Weekly Idol along with AOA's Mina and VIXX's N, starting from September 2. In 2016, she joined the cast for the all female edition of the SBS reality show Law of the Jungle which took place in the jungles of Papua New Guinea.

In November 2016, it was revealed that Hayoung will make her debut as an actress in the web drama Brother Jeongnam (Korean: 정남이형), to be aired on KBS2 and KBS World, whose title later changed into Find Her (Korean: 그녀를 찾아줘). The webseries aired on March 1, 2017 as two 60-minute episodes.

In 2013, Hayoung played the female lead in the music video for Huh Gak's song "1440". Oh has also played the female lead in Shin Bora's single "Frozen" along with B1A4's CNU, who was the male lead. In July 2014, she was featured in the music video for Jiggy Dogg's single "The Best Thing I Did".
